Fuel Up to Play 60 Goes to Vikings Training Camp

Fuel Up to Play 60 made an official appearance at this year’s Vikings Training Camp in Mankato.  Midwest Dairy set up a booth in Vikings Village, where kids signed the Fuel Up to Play 60 pledge wall, promising to eat more nutrient-rich foods, like low-fat and fat-free dairy foods, fruits vegetables and whole grains, and to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day.  Those that pledged received a Fuel Up to Play 60 wristband as a reminder and were entered into drawings for Chad Greenway autographed merchandise.  Minnesota dairy farmers, Keith and Kris Knutson, along with their kids Andrew and  Zach, and Midwest Dairy staff were on hand  to talk to parents about the Fuel Up to Play 60 program.
That evening, Midwest Dairy hosted invited guests, who represented Minnesota school districts that had activated Fuel Up to Play 60 in their schools, for dinner in the Vikings VIP tent. These guests had the opportunity to learn about life on a dairy farm from the Knutson family and discuss their ideas for Fuel Up to Play 60 program activation and meet Viktor the Viking. They were rewarded with signed Vikings merchandise for their school.  Dinner was followed by a Vikings practice and fireworks on the field.
