Now that the school year is underway, we hope you’ve kicked off your school’s Fuel Up to Play 60 season as well! This year, we made it fun, and easy, to start participating early with our World School Milk Day Contest, taking place now through Oct. 2! World School Milk Day is Wednesday, September 25, and is an international, annual event that celebrates the importance of school milk.
The rules are simple: All participating Fuel Up to Play 60 schools are eligible to enter the World School Milk Day Contest by completing at least two of the official milk mustache activities outlined below (and at the Midwest Dairy Association website). Simply log into your FuelUptoPlay60.com dashboard and submit milk mustache photos and descriptions under “Success Stories”.
Official Milk Mustache Activities to photograph include:
• Students with the school principal
• Students at school breakfast or school lunch
• Students doing their favorite physical activity
• Students with their favorite classroom teacher
• Students working at a computer
Students can use stickers or real milk, but all photos must display students sporting milk mustaches. More mustache ideas are available at midwestdairy.com.
One lucky school will win the Grand Prize – a $1,000 prize locker from Midwest Dairy, as well as two Fuel Up to Play 60 soft-sided coolers. Ten schools from throughout the Midwest will take away the second prize of a $500 prize locker, and 20 schools will win a third prize Fuel Up to Play 60 soft-sided cooler.
World School Milk Day is recognized in forty countries throughout the world, and now your school can celebrate with fellow Fuel Up to Play 60 students from across the country. We can’t wait to see you flash your ‘staches!
